Did you re-upload the Torchic pattern yet? The link in the Torchic post still isn't working.
There are two kinds of Wordpress blogs: Wordpress.com which is easy to use like Blogspot but you can't alter it as much as Blogspot (you can't add many other widgets and stuff).
And there's Wordpress.org where you can alter your blog's appearance almost completely, but you need to know about website coding and building yourself or else it's very difficult to use.
Blogspot is very easy to use and you can add lots of widgets and stuff to customize your blog more.
